Both of these Chicago teams are heading in the wrong direction at the wrong time of the season. The Cubs have lost five of their last six games. They are once again struggling at the plate down the stretch. They have scored three runs in their last three games and three or fewer runs in seven of their last eight games. The Cubs will look to turn things around with Yu Darvish taking the mound. He is 7-3 this season with a 2.22 ERA and 88 strikeouts this season.

The Chicago White Sox have lost five in a row and are second behind the Twins in the AL Central. The White Sox have scored nine runs in their last three games and four or more runs in four of their last eight games. The White Sox will send Dylan Cease to the mound. He is 5-3 with a 3.52 ERA and 39 strikeouts this season.

The Chicago White Sox offense has struggled to score runs during their losing streak and have lost their grip on the AL Central title. The Cubs have not been doing much better but they will have Darvish on the mound. He has a 2.22 ERA and .219 allowed batting average through 69 innings this season. Cease has had a rough last two starts and he can only hope the Cubs will continue not to hit. I am taking the better pitcher in this one.
