This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION TOTAL on the OVER Tigers/Cardinals.

I had a play on the OVER In the Tigers and Cardinals game yesterday and while that total did go UNDER the number unfortunately, I believe this interleague getaway game will finally deliver more of a "SLUG-FEST."

The Tigers go with Tarik Skubal (8-11, 4.02 ERA), who gave up two runs over six innings in what turned out to be a tough-luck loss to the Angels on Wednesday.

Skubal has been decent of late, but his one weakness has been his play on the road this season, as he's 4-6 with a 3.42 ERA at home and only 4-5 with a 5.11 ERA on the road.

The home side goes with Jon Lester, who is 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA and who earned a no-decision after allowing four runs over four innings against the Brewers on Thursday. He failed to record a strikeout and labored through the four innings, needing 89 total pitches.

Since joining the Cardinals the veteran has been shelled for 16 runs over 20.1 innings of work.

Everything points to this total flying OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
