The Indians have received strong starting pitching of late, but I think that trend gets broken this evening.
The Indians turn to Zach Plesac, who was 8-6 with a 3.81 ERA in 2019. Note that Plesac lost both games vs. the White Sox last year, posting a ballooned 5.25 ERA in the process.
Chicago counters with Lucas Giolito, who is 0-1 with a 17.18 ERA after his first start of the year, allowing seven runs over three innings in a loss to the Twins on Friday.
Recent form from these two starters points to the "over" as the correct call in this particular matchup, but note as well that Chicago has seen the total go over the number in eight of its last ten road games after losing both games of a double-header.
