#700 ASA PLAY ON North Texas +2.5 over Florida Atlantic, Wednesday at 8 PM ET - This is a dangerous game for an FAU team that frankly hasn’t been good on the road this season. The Owls were expected to win the AAC after their deep run in the NCAA tourney last year, however USF has already clinched the conference title removing that hope for FAU. The Owls also have a huge home finale on deck Saturday vs a Memphis team that just beat them last weekend. This could be a flat spot for them which wouldn’t be ideal vs a very good UNT team playing in their home finale. The Mean Green are finally at full strength after playing a combined 16 games without key starters Jones (12 PPG) and Noland (10 PPG). They have both been back in the line up the last 3 games and combined for 75 points in those 3 contests (2 wins & 1 loss by 2 points). FAU has a losing record on the road and has lost 3 of their last 4 away from home with their only win coming @ Wichita State (5-12 record on AAC play) in OT. UNT is 11-3 at home this season, however 2 of their 3 losses came with either Jones or Noland, or both unable to play. And those losses were both down to the wire vs South Florida by 5 (conference champion) and UAB in OT. Their 3 home losses have come by a combined 10 points. To give you an idea of the value in the number here, UNT was favored by 6.5 here vs USF who won the conference going away and now they are dogs to an overvalued FAU team. When these 2 met earlier this year @ FAU, the Mean Green played without Jones and nearly pulled the upset losing 66-63 and the final 3 point margin was the Owls largest lead of the game. UNT 6-3 ATS as a dog this season & FAU is 2-7 ATS as a road favorite. This one just screams upset with a motivated UNT team playing their final home game vs a team that has been overvalued all season and might be looking ahead to Saturday. Our power ratings have UNT a slight favorite here so we’ll take the points.
