No Doubt Blowout Rout - Rickenbach NHL 8* Washington Capitals Money Line (-) @ St Louis Blues @ 8:05 ET Thursday - We catch a break here considering the Capitals are on the road and facing a respectable foe. After watching the Caps score 7 goals Monday, and yet lose, I knew I would want to play on them in their next game. With Washington on the road, there is line value as this is a very manageable money line. As long time followers know I don't lay big prices in money line sports so, the fact this line is around a -130 as of early gameday morning, is an exceptional value. The Capitals had won 9 straight before their loss at Pittsburgh and had allowed 2 goals or less in 9 of their last 10 games prior to the ugly result against the Penguins where the Caps blew a 3-0 lead! They are catching the Blues at the right time as St Louis has lost 4 of its last 5 home games. The Blues have given up 22 goals in those 5 games as both Allen and Hutton have been struggling between the pipes. Washington has won 9 of 11 non-conference games this season and also has won 13 of 18 when they are off of a game where they scored 4 goals or more. The Blues have lost 10 of 16 games this season when they are off of a game where they scored 4 goals or more. With the Capitals hungry to get right back on track and with the Blues struggles on home ice, I'll gladly lay the moderate price here with the road fave. 8* WASHINGTON on the money line Thursday
