The Gonzaga Bulldogs are still the team to beat in the West Coast Conference, but the competition has been a little stiffer this year. St. Mary's is just one game back, and the Gaels beat Gonzaga at home earlier this season. I think the Bulldogs will avenge that loss with a blowout home win tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The Gaels have been winning games, but they've been burying bettors going 1-9 ATS in their last 10 overall. Prior to beating Gonzaga in January, they had lost eight straight in this series, and they failed to cover the spread in all of those losses.
2. Home Cookin' - Gonzaga is scoring over 80 points per game on 48.6 percent shooting at home, while the Gaels have scored an average of just 67.2 points on 44.1 percent shooting on the road. Gonzaga has also scored an average of over 80 points in their last five overall, while St. Mary's has scored just 64.8 points per game during that span.
3. X-Factor - The Bulldogs are 9-2-1 in their last 12 home games versus teams with a winning record.
