The Virginia Cavs are a double-digit favorite at home to N.C. State on Monday, but I am not sure the Cavs will be at their best coming off such a devastating loss over the weekend. The Cavs lost at Duke when Grayson Allen hit a buzzer beater to give the Blue Devils a 63-62 win. My money is on the Wolfpack plus the points.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The Cavs have won four of the last six meetings in this series, but they've failed to cover the spread in all but one of those games. The road team is 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings.
2. Anthony Barber - The Wolfpack leading scorer is coming off a 38 point performance in Saturday's win over Wake Forest, and he's averaging an incredible 32.2 points over the last five games.
3. X-Factor - The Wolfpack have covered the spread in four straight road games, and four straight at Virginia.
