The Texas Longhorns come into tonight's game at Iowa State as winners of seven of their last nine. They lost a close game at Oklahoma by a score of 63-30 on Monday, and they face another tough test on the road at Iowa State Saturday. The Longhorns look good getting points.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - Texas has covered the spread in seven straight overall, and the Longhorns have covered in four straight on the road versus teams with a winning record. The Cyclones are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four home games.
2. Isaiah Taylor - The junior guard leads the Longhorns in scoring, and he dropped 28 points on 11-of-17 shooting in a home win over the Cyclones earlier this year.
3. X-Factor - First year coach Shaka Smart has Texas playing his "Havoc" system of aggressive defense and fast paced offense. The Longhorns have improved throughout the season, and appear to be getting hot at the right time.
