The Dallas Stars saw a three-game winning streak come to an end in a 5-1 loss to Chicago Saturday and are coming to Minnesota Tuesday looking to extend the Minnesota Wild's recent woes. I think we'll see a low-scoring game between the two Central Division foes.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Minnesota's Offensive Woes - The Wild are 1-9-1 over their last 11 games with an average of just 1.55 goals scored per game in that span. They've managed seven goals during a 0-3-2 slide home at Xcel Energy Center.
2. Special Teams - The Stars were 0-for-6 on the man advantage Saturday and the Wild have killed all 13 penalties over the last six home games.
3. X-Factor - Antti Niemi has started each of the last six games and could get the nod tonight as well as he owns a 1.94 GAA in his career versus the Wild.
