Match-ups between these two Eastern Conference powerhouses have a tendency of being high-scoring affairs, and I expect nothing less when the Montreal Canadiens host the Tampa Bay Lightning at Bell Centre Tuesday night.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Effective Power Play Units - The Lightning were blanked on three chances on the man advantage in a 5-1 setback at Ottawa Monday but had gone 6-for-20 on the power play in their past five games prior. The Habs had gone 5-for-18 in their last five games before coming up empty on both chances against Carolina Sunday.
2. Previous Meetings - The Habs defeated the Lightning 4-3 in a shootout on Dec. 28 in the only previous meeting this season and the over is 9-4-3 in the last 16 meetings in the series.
3. X-Factor - The over is 7-1-2 in the Canadiens' last 10 overall.
