The San Diego State Aztecs are coming off a big win in double OT over the BYU Cougars last night. They play the Pittsburgh Panthers in Maui tonight, and the #15 ranked Aztecs are only asked to cover a few points against an unranked Panthers teams that lost to Hawaii just a few days ago.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Improved Shooting - While San Diego State won three straight prior to last night's game versus BYU, they had been really struggling shooting just 35.8% from the field in those games. They hit 48.5% of their field goal attempts last night, and they come into tonight's game feeling the hot hand.
2. Panthers Defense - Pittsburgh has allowed it's last two opponents to shoot over 50%, and that's not very impressive against Hawaii and Charminade.
3. X-Factor - The Aztecs are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games.
