The Coach's NHL Eastern Conference ANNIHILATOR
(NHL) NY Rangers vs. Pittsburgh, 11/15/2014 2:00 PM, Score: 3 - 2
Money Line: -167.00 Pittsburgh (Home)
Result: Loss
The New York Rangers snapped Pittsburgh's seven game winning streak Tuesday as they shut out the Pens in New York winning 5-0. The Rangers were not able to follow that performance up with another win losing to the Avs Thursday while the Penguins bounced back defeating Toronto 2-1 last night. I think the home team will execute a little revenge tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Special Teams - The Penguins have failed to score a power play goal in any of their last two games, but are still the most effective team in the league scoring on nearly 34% of their opportunities with a man advantage. They have done well on the penalty kill too, currently ranked #2 in the league behind the Blackhawks killing off close to 89% of their penalties. The Rangers are in the bottom half for both categories.

2. Home Cookin' - The Penguins finished the 2013-2014 season with the sixth best home record winning 28 of their 41 games at CONSOL Energy Center. They've started this season strong as well, winning five of their seven home games and the Rangers might struggle here winning only two of their last nine on the road.

3. X-factor - Rick Nash has been lethal this season, but has struggled over his last trips to Pittsburgh, being limited to one assist over the last six road games against the Penguins.

Selection: This is a play on the Pittsburgh Penguins (8*)
