(NHL) Chicago vs. St. Louis, 11/09/2016 3:00 PM, Score: 2 - 1
Money Line: 127.00 Chicago (Away)
Result: Win
The set-up: The 9-3-1 Chicago Blackhawks have gone 6-0 since Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane were reunited and will head to St. Louis tonight to face a Blues team which has put together consecutive wins for the first time since they opened the season with a three-game winning streak (St. Louis is 7-4-2 on the season).

Chicago: Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville decided to put his top two forwards, center Toews and RW Kane, on the same line for the first time since the 2009-2010 season. It's paid huge dividends so far. Toews did not have a goal and owned just two assists in the team's first seven games but has four goals and four assists during the winning streak. Kane has scored three goals and added five assists since the pair began playing together. "If our line can set the tone, or create more, have more shifts in their end, it's going to be good for our team in the long run," Kane told the Chicago Sun-Times. "It could be a great thing for our team, and one of those things that you didn't really expect to happen." Veteran Marian Hossa set up a goal before scoring in overtime in a 4-3 win over Dallas on Sunday to increase his point total to seven (five goals, two assists) in his last six games.

St. Louis: The Blues made Jake Allen their No. 1 goalie this year with the offseason trade of Brian Elliott to Calgary and signed Allen to a four-year contract extension. After a strong bounce-back game following two sub-par efforts, he will be back in goal Wednesday night for the St. Louis, in this key Central Division game against Chicago. Allen had allowing a combined nine goals in regulation losses last week on the road against the New York Rangers and Dallas Stars. However, he was back to his old form, allowing only one goal in a 5-1 win over the Avalanche, stopping 22 shots, while helping keep the Avalanche scoreless on six power-play opportunities.

The pick: These teams met back on Oct. 12 with the Blues skating to a 5-2 win. Crawford yielded three goals in that contest but remains a healthy 14-5-5 lifetime versus the Blues. The Blues scored three power-play goals in the first meeting with the Blackhawks but are just 1-for-21 in their last six games. Meanwhile, Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford has stopped 164-of-169 shots while posting two shutouts during the Blackhawks' current winning streak. Turnabout is fair play in this one. Make Chicago a 10* play.
