Schule's MLB Thursday Night S-M-A-C-K-D-O-W-N (+$8,155 MLB RUN)
(MLB) NY Mets vs. San Diego, 05/05/2016 6:10 PM, Score: 3 - 5
Money Line: -170.00 NY Mets (Away)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the NYM.

The Mets got off to a slow start, but they come into San Diego as winners of 10 of their last 12 overall. The Padres continue to be one of the most disappointing teams in the major leagues, and they are sitting dead last in the NL West.

Jacob deGrom will toe the slab for the Mets, and the 27 year old right-hander has been dominant in his three starts this season. deGrom (3-0, 1.02 ERA) surrendered just two hits over six innings in a win over the Pirates his last time out. He owned the Padres in his only start against them in 2015, going eight strong with eight Ks.

The Friars hand the ball to Colin Rea, who has failed to impress this season. Rea (2-1, 4.61 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on four hits and three walks over six innings in a win over the Dodgers in LA his last time out. He's been torched for seven runs on 15 hits over just 11 innings in three appearances at home.

San Diego failed to score a run in a loss to the Rockies in it's last game, and the Padres continue to rank near the bottom of the majors batting just .232 on the season.

Take NYM.
