Among Boston's many advantages there is not of greater significance than the matchup in starting goaltenders. The Bruins will have reigning Vezina winner Tuukka Rask back between the pipes, while Philly will hope Steve Mason can duplicate what he did last season, winning a career high 33 games.
The Bruins boast a sturdy blueline with the likes of former Norris Trophy winner Zdeno Chara, Tory Krug, Dougie Hamilton and Dennis Seidenberg.
The Flyers could be without their leading goal scorer Wayne Simmonds, who is listed as day to day with a lower body injury (still expects to play). They will surely miss veteran Scott Hartnell who left for Columbus in the off-season. The Bruins will be without their top scorer David Krejci.
