Stephen Nover's Wednesday Wipeout Winner
(NHL) Detroit vs. Tampa Bay, 04/13/2016 3:00 PM, Score: 2 - 3
Money Line: -150.00 Tampa Bay (Home)
Result: Win
Detroit is just happy to extend its playoff run to 25 straight seasons. The Red Wings are overmatched here, more than this mid-size price indicates. The Red Wings snuck into the postseason on the second-to-last day of the regular season. They are 1-4 in their last five road games, 0-4 the past four times versus opponents with a winning record and have lost in eight of their last 10 visits to Tampa Bay. The Red Wings are the only playoff team with a negative goal differential.

Aside from power plays, the Lightning hold strong edges everywhere on the Red Wings especially in the nets with Ben Bishop against Jimmy Howard. The betting line, though, isn't sky high because Tampa Bay is without injured stars Steven Stamkos and Anton Stralman.

However, Stamkos wasn't that consistent in last year's playoffs. The Lightning seem to have more of a team mentality, too, without Stamkos. They certainly have better depth than Detroit and more firepower even without Stamkos' offense.

Tampa Bay has won 67 percent of its last 91 home games.
