Stephen Nover's NHL Total of the Week

Anaheim is coming off its highest-scoring game of the season netting eight goals in an 8-3 home win against Calgary this past Wednesday. The Ducks have been hot offensively for a while. They have scored three or more goals in seven of their last nine games, averaging 4.1 goals during this span. They face the Canucks, who rank 23rd defensively and give up the third-most shots on goal in the NHL. The Canucks have surrendered at least three goals in seven of their last 10 games.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the Ducks score at least four goals here - although I'm priced off the side.

The Ducks are strong defensively. Vancouver, though, just scored four goals against San Jose, a better than average defensive team, last night in a shocking 4-2 road win. The Canucks probably are going to let down here, but they should be loose and more confident on offense. The over has cashed five of the last six times the Canucks have played following a victory.
