AAA's EARLY 3-GAME NCAAF REPORT (5-1 w/ ALL NCAAF L/Saturday!)
(NCAAF) Houston vs. Connecticut, 11/21/2015 9:33 AM, Score: 17 - 20
Total: 48.50 | -107.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the OVER between Houston and Connecticut.

When the smoke clears at the end of this one, we look for this total to eclipse the posted number. The 10-0 Houston Cougars travel to Connecticut to take on the 5-5 Huskies, who will be looking for an upset today and to punch their ticket to a bowl berth. The Cougars of course are looking to win out and to gain access to a New Year's Six Bowl game. There's plenty to play for today for both teams and ultimately it's this sense of intense competition that we believe will be the difference in the outcome as we look for each to open up the playbook. The reason it took so long for a line to come out on this one was because of an ankle injury that Houston QB Greg Ward Jr. suffered last week against Memphis. Whether Ward plays or not doesn't matter as far as we're concerned though, his backup Kyle Postma played fantastic in relief, finishing with 236 passing yards and one passing TD, as well as 49 rushing yards and another score. The Huskies won't be rolling over though obviously, UConn has had a dreadful few season's in a row and another victory would be massive for coach Bob Diaco and company. QB Bryant Shirreffs has thrown for nearly 2,000 yards and eight TD's this year. You'll also want to keep your eyes on Huskies' RB Arkeel Newsome, who has 600 rushing yards and 400 receiving yards thus far. Note that Houston has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 15 off a win vs. a conference rival, while Connecticut has seen the total sail above the posted number in three of its last five in the same position. Play on the OVER.
