This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the OVER between Georgia Southern and Georgia.
Georgia is coming off a huge win vs. Auburn last week and returns home to Athens with the hopes of reaching ten wins. In just its second year in the FBS, Georgia State is bowl eligible, but still has a shot at winning the Sun Belt. Both teams still have a lot to play for and it's because of this fact that we expect a wide-open and ultimately high-scoring affair. Georgia Southern leads the nation in rushing at 379 yards per game and will be testing a decent Georgia run defense throughout. The Bulldogs though are just too talented on the offensive side of the ball in our professional opinion to lose this one outright and while the Eagles will be fighting hard, we simply have a hard time seeing the visitors keeping pace. Note that Georgia Southern has seen the total go OVER the number in six of its last 11 off a win vs. a conference rival and in four of its last seven when playing the role of underdog, while Georgia has seen the total eclipse the posted number in four of its last five home games when the total is set between 49.5 and 56 and in 19 of its last 33 when playing the role of favorite.
