When the smoke clears at the end of this one, we look for this total to sail above the posted number. After going 5-6 in 2014, the Buffalo Bulls are one game away from bowl eligibility after beating Kent State on the road last Thursday night. To punch their ticket to the promised land though, the Bulls will have to knock off a red hot Northern Illinois team which has won four straight, including last week's upset victory over Toledo. It's true that the Huskies lost QB Drew Hare for the rest of the season in that win, but backup Ryan Graham performed admirably when he went down, leading a fourth-quarter rally over a ranked an previously unbeaten team. Graham thankfully has a ton of different options to lean on, we don't see a drop off in production whatsoever this week for NIU. Buffalo could obviously care less and will be looking to take advantage on both sides of the ball today, with a suspect run game, look for QB Joe Licata to be throwing down field from start to finish. Note that Northern Illinois has seen the total go OVER the number in five of six as a favorite this your, while Buffalo has seen the total sail above the posted number in eight of its last 14 at home and in ten of its last 18 when playing the role of underdog. With the Bulls pushing the pace of this one, we're expecting a very wide-open affair and ultimately look for this total to go OVER the number once the final whistle sounds.
