This is an 8* SITUATIONAL DESTRUCTION on Old Dominion.
While we won't be so bold as to call for an outright upset, we will in the end recommend grabbing as many points as you can as we look for the 3-5 Monarchs to keep this one a lot closer than what the oddsmakers are leading us to believe. Old Dominion has dropped five of six after opening the season 2-0, most recently a 56-30 setback to visiting WKU last week. The Monarchs were outgained 523-342, QB Schuler Bentley was 19 of 34 for 195 yards and three TD's. UTSA is 1-7, most recently coming off a 30-23 setback at North Texas as a 7-point road favorite. Dalton Sturm was 27 of 41 for 245 yards and a TD. This line opened at 12 and has since dropped to 8.5 in most places, but regardless, we love this selection, as note that ODU is 2-1 ATS in its last three as an underdog in the 3.5 to 10 points range, while UTSA is just 7-8 ATS in its last 15 at home and only 3-5 ATS as a fav in the 3.5 to 10 points range.
