Chris Sale (12-11, 3.48 ERA) will be looking to break his franchise single-season strikeout total in his final start of the year, having already fanned 267 batters, 41 more than his previous best. Interestingly, Sale is also on the cusp of betting Ed Walsh's franchise-best 269 set all the way back in 1908. And note that Sale will be especially motivated here, after dealing eight K's in his last outing on Sept. 24 vs. the Yanks, he'd unfortunately take the 3-2 defeat, his fourth in a row. The visitors counter with Alfredo Simon (13-11, 5.18 ERA) who is 0-2 with an ballooned 8.76 ERA over his last two outings, most recently getting shelled for four runs in Saturday's 6-2 loss at Minnesota.
