The visitors hand the ball to Julio Teheran (5-3, 4.67 ERA) who is coming off a 1-0 victory over the Mets on Sunday, throwing seven innings of shutout ball, giving up just one hit and two walks while striking out five in the effort. The home side counters with Charlie Morton (5-1, 3.97 ERA) who is coming off his first poor outing of the season, giving up nine runs off eight hits to the Nationals. Morton though had been the very model of consistency up to that point, the disappointing effort would raise his ERA from 1.62 to 3.97. No need to hit the panic button though in my opinion as Morton is still a perfect 3-0 with a minuscule 0.84 ERA in front of the home town crowd this season. I believe these starters will battle deep into the latter frames and as such, will highly recommend a second look at the UNDER in this one.
