This is a 10* SITUATIONAL PITCHING MISMATCH on the New York Yankees.

The Astros took the first game of this series 4-0 yesterday as Dallas Keuchel struck out 12 while throwing a six-hitter. Suffice it to say, I don't think Vincent Velasquez (0-0, 4.15 ERA) is going to be able to duplicate Keuchel's superb effort; note that Velasquez would allow one run and two hits, while walking four over just 3 1/3's innings of a 6-2 win at Seattle on Sunday. And that's good news for a Yanks lineup which has struggled of late, yesterday's setback represented the team's fourth loss in its last five games. Note though that the Yanks had averaged 8.3 runs and 13.9 hits in their previous seven contests. The visitors counter with Nathan Eovaldi (6-2, 4.95 ERA), who is coming off a great performance vs. the Tigers on Saturday, giving up two runs over six-plus innings of a 14-3 victory. For the most part MLB handicapping comes down to the starting pitching and in this case I'm going to give Eovaldi the slight nod. New York is the more motivated team here and in my opinion, this is the very definition of "great line value," play on the YANKEES.
