This is an 8* REVENGE ROUT on the Detroit Pistons.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. As note that Detroit is 11-4 ATS this year trying to revenge a loss against an opponent and 8-5 ATS against good offensive teams which score 106-plus points per contest, while Philadelphia is just 3-4 ATS in its last seven after three or more consecutive victories.
The bottom line: Whether 76ers big man Joel Embiid plays in this one or not, we like the Pistons here. Detroit has alternated wins and losses over its last three and comes in off a 111-104 loss at Miami. The Pistons do indeed play with revenge here after falling 108-103 to Philadelphia in early December. And with a game at home against the Rockets tomorrow night, clearly the visitors can't take anything for granted this evening. The 76ers look primed for a letdown here, they've won three straight and then enjoy four whole nights off before a game at home against Boston. Can anyone say letdown/trap game? Play on DETROIT.
