As note that Boston has seen the total go UNDER the number in ten of 18 already this year on the road and in five of eight off an upset loss as a favorite, while Charlotte has seen the total go UNDER the number in 11 of 19 at home this year, in nine of 15 as an underdog and in 14 of 24 in trying to revenge a loss against an opponent.
The bottom line: Boston of course comes in off the listless 111-103 setback at home to the Wizards on Christmas Day. The C's have now lost three of their last four. With a tough game at home against Houston tomorrow night, Boston clearly can't leave anything to chance here. We're expecting the Celtics to "double down" on the defensive end tonight. The Hornets split a home and home series with the Bucks, winning 111-106 in their most recent action. But with a tough Western road swing starting in Golden State on Friday night, the home side will also be looking to dictate the pace of this one. All signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy call in this matchup.
