This is a 10* ELITE EIGHT TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the UNDER between Oregon and Kansas.
We think it's a good time to pull the trigger on the UNDER. With such a quick turnaround in Tournament play and with these teams not really having much of a history against each other, these types of picks are primarily based on the "situation." There's no way that the Ducks can get into a "track meet" with the Jayhawks and as such, we're expecting the underdogs to try and "slow" down the pace of this one from the outset. The Ducks smashed Iona 93-77 in the opening round and then nudged by Rhode Island 75-72. Oregon then had to hold on for dear life in its 69-68 win over Michigan in the Sweet 16. Kansas arrives to the Elite Eight after getting the better of No. 4 Purdue 98-66 on Thursday. Each played exceptionally well on the defensive end of the floor in the Sweet 16 and with fatigue becoming a very real factor at this point of the tournament, we are looking for that defensive pressure to carry over here. We believe the situation lends itself to a lower-scoring UNDER.
