The Texas Longhorns take on the Davidson Wildcats as part of the Maui Invitational at Harrah’s Cherokee Center on ESPN2. Texas is 1-0 on the season coming off a cupcake victory over UT Rio Grande Valley. Shaka Smart looks to have officially turned this Texas program around and with a ranking in the top 20 to start the season off things are looking up. The Longhorns are bringing back a whole bunch of starters and brought in a bunch of elite young talent. This team has what it takes to be a top ten team in the nation. Davidson is also 1-0 this season after an easy win over High Point.

Take the Longhorns to get the win and cover in this one as they are the far more talented team and should be able to comfortably handle anything that Davidson can throw at them in the first real game for either squad this season.
