The UTEP Miners stood 1-13 overall against D1 competition through the first half of the regular season, but this group has shown tremendous improvement as the Miners now look like a serious threat to win the CUSA tournament. UTEP was strong again yesterday getting past Rice by a final of 86-76 and during their uptick in results the Miners have beaten opponents like Marshall, UAB, and MTSU, and UTEP in CUSA action.



This game has the ingredients to be a tremendous matchup in the CUSA tournament as the two hottest teams in the league go head to head. UTEP has been a consistent performer for us against the spread through the second half of the regular season and we feel that UTEP are getting undervalued by Vegas again this afternoon.
