This is a 10* TOP NL TOTAL on the OVER Twins/Rays.
Both teams have been playing to plenty of UNDERS of late, but I say that finally changes here this afternoon. I had a play on the OVER last night in this series, and while that one came up short, I look for this total to blast past the number sooner, rather than later.
The Twins go with Andrew Albers, who is 1-0 with a 0.96 ERA. He threw five shutout innings against the Brewers in his first big-league start since 2017, but the sample size is too small, and regression definitely looks imminent.
The Rays go with Chris Archer, who is 0-1 with a 4.35 ERA. He gave up two runs over four innings in a no-decision to the Orioles on Sunday.
Archer could be in trouble here, as Minnesota has seen the total go OVER in eight of its last 11 after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
