This is an 8* TOP NL TOTAL on the OVER Brewers/Giants.
A couple of decent starting pitchers going head-to-head here, but I believe the opener of this series sets up as a SLUG-FEST.
The Brewers go with Corbin Burnes, who is 8-4 with a 2.30 ERA, who could finally be starting to show some cracks in the proverbial armor, as he allowed four runs over six innings in a no-decision to the Reds in his last outing.
Johnny Cueto is 7-6 with a 3.73 ERA for the Giants. He returned from injury last Wednesday and faced the Mets, where he allowed one run over four innings of work.
I think "regression" is the word of the day here. These two starters have been over-achieving (probably), to this point and there are small signs a plenty pointing towards these trends continuing.
While each team has seen several UNDERS hit of late, everything points to the opener of this one sailing OVER this number sooner, rather than later.
