This is an 8* TOP AL AFTERNOON TOTAL on the OVER Jays/Tigers.
I had a play on the OVER in the Jays/Tigers yesterday and while that one came up short, I do now finally expect some offense this afternoon in the finale of this series.
Toronto goes with Jose Berrios (1-2, 3.70 ERA), who was shelled for four runs off nine hits over three innings in a 5-2 loss to the White Sox on Tuesday. In five starts since coming over to the Jays, Berrios now owns a poor 4.81 ERA and 1.64 WHIP.
Matt Boyd is 3-6 with a 3.44 ERA for the Tigers. He's returning from a stint on the injured list and a rehab session. He's going to be on a pitch count tonight and the bottom line is I don't trust Detroit's bullpen right now.
Toronto is desperate for victories, so look for it to take advantage (that said, I'm not laying the large price on the road favorite.)
I don't trust either starting pitcher. With each getting the hook early, look for this total to fly OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
