This is a 10* TOP AL MONDAY TOTAL on the OVER Orioles/Yankees.
Despite Baltimore having seen the total go UNDER in four straight, and New York having seen it go UNDER in three straight (and nine of its last ten), I think the opener of this three-game AL series on Monday sets up as a SLUG-FEST.
The Orioles go with Jorge Lopez, who is 2-12 with a 6.19 ERA and who was most recently rocked for five runs over two innings in a no-decision against the Fish on Wednesday. Over 96 innings he sports a poor 1.68 WHIP and pedestrian 90:43 K:BB.
The home side counters with Andrew Heaney, who is 6-7 with a 5.27 ERA and who makes his first start here for his new team since coming over from the Angels.
Unlike Jose Berrios' dominant start for his new team yesterday (the Blue Jays, a six inning shutout performance), I think Heaney will continue his poor season here, as he's conceding 1.5 HR/9 this season, which doesn't bode well playing at Yankee Stadium in the middle of the Summer.
Finally, note that New York has seen the total go OVER the number in seven of its last ten after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
