This is a 10* TOP INTERLEAGUE WED. TOTAL on the OVER Orioles/Mets.
The Mets don't score a lot of runs, but I think they will today. New York comes in having won six in a row. It's seen the total go UNDER in three straight, including in yesterday's 3-2 win over Baltimore. New York hits the road for a series at Tampa tomorrow, the beginning of an extended trip away from friendly confines, which puts added incentive on this contest for it.
The Orioles will look to to rebound here, as they've lost six of their last ten. They've also seen the total go UNDER in three straight (it's interesting to note that they've seen the total go OVER in eight of their last 11 after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.)
Both Matt Harvey of the Orioles and Taijuan Walker of the Mets have gotten out to amazing starts to the 2021 campaign. Harvey is 3-2 with a 3.60 ERA, while Walker is 2-1 with a 2.38 ERA.
Regression is imminent in our opinion though.
I say this number is now just a little bit too low. With both Walker and Harvey taking an early exit like we expect, look for this total to fly OVER the number in the latter frames.
