This is an 8* SITUATIONAL PITCHING MISMATCH on the Philadelphia Phillies.
Philadelphia held a 6-3 lead going into the bottom of the 8th in the opener of this seven game series yesterday, but it conceded three runs and then went on to lose 7-6 in extra frames.
With their ace on the mound and sitting now only a 1/2 game ahead of the Marlins, I like the Phillies to bounce back in style here in the first game of the double-header.
Miami is undecided who will start in the first game, but whoever it is, I give a big nod to Aaron Nola (4-3, 2.74 ERA).
Note as well that the Phillies are 7-2 in their last 9 after conceding 7 or more runs in a one run loss to an opponent in their previous outing.
I LOVE Nola to anchor his team back into the win column today and he's the reason that I have no issues laying this mid-sized price.
