ASA PLAY 8* ON Over 54.5 Points – Kansas City @ Baltimore, Monday at 7:20 PM ET - This may seem like a high total, however this is the new norm in the NFL so far this season. In fact, the average combined score through 47 games this year is 53.5 points. With that in mind, this total doesn’t seem so high especially considering we have 2 of the most explosive offenses in the NFL facing off tonight. These 2 have topped 30 points in 3 of their 4 games this year with Baltimore scoring 33 & 38 and KC scoring 34 & 23. The impressive part of those scoring numbers is that in 3 of the 4 games played, these teams jumped out to big leads and were able to take their foot off the gas making their fourth quarter numbers fairly marginal. In fact, KC and Baltimore have combined to score only 31 fourth quarter points this year which is an average of barely 7 points in the final quarter. That includes the close game that KC had where they scored 11 points in the 4th to come back on the Chargers. Take that out and we're talking about 6.6 PPG in the fourth quarter. We don’t expect either to jump out to a big lead here and transition to a conservative offense simply to run clock. We look for a back and forth, one score type game where both teams have to keep the pedal down on offense. If both get to 30, and both obviously have the ability to do just that, this one flies over the number. Even if only one of these 2 top 30 points, we have a great shot at pushing this Over 54.5 points. These 2 powerhouses faced off last season in late September and put up 61 points on over 950 total yards! Weather looks great tonight in Baltimore with light winds and temps in the 70’s. The OVERS this season is the NFL have gone 29-18 and we expect that improves by 1 tonight.
