Colorado Avalanche will head to SAP center to face the San Jose Sharks. Colorado are fourth in West Division with 23 points and Sharks at seventh with 18 points.
Colorado has won their last game which was against the Coyotes with a 6-2 win on Saturday night. Goalie Phillip Grabauer had bounced back from their previous game that they lost against Minnesota Wild last week. He stopped 23 shot out of 25 and helped his team secure the win. Avalanche has scored 3.06 goals per game but they are also the best goal prevention teams in hockey. They have also become NHL’s best penalty killing team fending off a league best 89.5% of their total penalty for the season.
Colorado’s heart of defense Cole Makar had a lot to do with the team’s defensive improvement. However the youngster has been missing from the lineups as of late and is expected to miss against San Jose Sharks. On Saturday night the Sharks lost to St. Louis Blues in a heartbreaking 7-6 loss. Their goalie Devan Dubnyk was passed 7 times from 31 shots in the loss for the Sharks but hey had outshot the Blues by 9 shots. The Sharks have been terrible defensively allowing the second most goals per game in the league. TAKE THE OVER!
