NFL - The Falcons not only fired their head coach but also their general manager. Teams often step up in situations like this as the players take on a sense of personal responsibility when the heads roll above them. We saw a perfect example of that last week when the Texans, playing their first game after the firing of coach Bill O'Brien, rolled the Jaguars by 16 points. While the Vikings aren't the Jaguars, this also doesn't appear to be a Minnesota team at the same level it had been in recent seasons. The Vikings have lost 4 of 5 games and are off the type of deflating loss that is often the toughest to bounce back from. The Vikings blew a huge lead and then managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by allowing a game-winning TD with just 15 ticks left on the clock.
