This series had strange scheduling that benefits the Panthers. Florida fell just short in Game 1 of this series and has had two days off to regroup and get ready for a key Game 2. Having lost Game 1 the odds are stacked against the Panthers but as long as they don't go into an 0-2 hole (a virtual death sentence in a 5-game series) Florida certainly has a shot to get right back into this. Whereas many series are playing a back to back tomorrow (Winnipeg/Calgary and NY Rangers/Hurricanes for example) the 2 days off between games really helps Florida here. They needed to regroup off the tight game one loss and can feel good about themselves that they did play better as the game went on in Game 1. These teams had a back and forth battle the last time they met in the post-season and, per the simulation report, this series is expected to play out in similar fashion. Play FLORIDA
