The Columbus Blue Jackets claimed the opener of this best-of-five Eastern Conference qualifying series with a 2-0 win on Sunday.
Toronto is the No. 8 seed while Columbus the No. 9 seed which suggests a small gap in talent, and I strongly disagree that the Leafs should be this big of a favorite in this one.
While Toronto is the better offensive team, the Jackets have an edge on the defensive end and I think they'll be able to punish a Toronto team that is likely to push things too much, playing from behind and all that.
