I'm expecting a much different type of score in this game.
Projected starters Johnny Cueto and Madison Bumgarner are both past their prime. Agreed. But both are in excellent form.
Cueto has a 2.30 ERA in his last three starts. He just shut out the Dodgers in his last start this past Thursday holding LA scoreless for 5 2/3 innings on four hits. Arizona is well below average offensively. The Diamondbacks have hit the second-fewest homers in the majors.
The Giants were able to rest their two best relievers, Jake McGee and Tyler Rogers, in their Monday victory.
Bumgarner has a 2.00 ERA in his last three starts. He should be pumped going against his former team.
