AAA's MLB BIG-CHALK CHOKE-OUT (LAY IT & CA$H IT!)
(MLB) Arizona vs. San Francisco, 09/09/2014 6:15 PM, Score: 1 - 5
Money Line: -167.00 San Francisco (Home)
Result: Win
This is a 6* BIG-CHALK CHOKE-OUT on the San Francisco Giants.

San Francisco controls its own destiny, but with a chance to extend its record and continue to make a run at the NL West title vs. the lowly Diamondbacks before a crucial series vs. the Dodgers over the weekend, I like the home side to find a way to get the job done at the end of the night in this one and have no issues whatsoever in laying the price. Not only do the Giants have the superior starter on the mound this evening in my opinion, but they come into this contest red hot at the plate, led by Buster Posey who has hit a whopping .493 with seven home runs and 21 RBIs over his last 16 games; Posey been potent at home as well of late, he's batting .455 with three home runs and nine driven in six consecutive home victories. Posey has also feasted on Diamondbacks pitching throughout his career, in his last 15 matchups he's hitting .390 with three dingers and 14 RBIs. The visitors send Wade Miley (7-10, 4.18 ERA) to the hill; for the most Miley has been pretty decen this year, while he's 0-2 in his last four starts, he's posted a very respectable 1.69 ERA in the process, his team has provided him with a total of three runs in those contests though (note that Arizona has in fact dropped Miley's last six starts). San Francisco will be plenty motivated here as well as Miley has already gotten the better of it twice this year. The home side counters with Yusmeiro Petit (4-3, 3.89 ERA) who has a minuscule 1.33 ERA in his last nine appearances in front of the home town crowd; in his only start in that stretch he'd give up one run with nine K's in a 4-1 victory over Colorado on August 28th. Petit used to pitch for the D-Backs between 2007-2009 and has fared well against his old club since, he's given up two runs over 15 innings while winning the two starts. And that's bad news for Arizona, it's lost 11 of its last 13 on the road and averaged a paltry 2.2 runs and four homers in its last 13 away from friendly confines. All signs point to a comfortable home victory, play on SAN FRANCISCO.
